17 июля прошло очередное заседание клуба «Книгочей», которое было посвящено 205-летию со дня рождения Ивана Константиновича Айвазовского, русского художника-мариниста, баталиста, коллекционера, мецената, живописца Главного Морского штаба, академика и почётного члена Императорской Академии художеств, почётного члена Академий художеств в Амстердаме, Риме, Париже, Флоренции и Штутгарте.
Библиотекарь 1-й категории Дмитренко С.Н. рассказала о биографии и творческом пути Айвазовского, об интересных фактах из жизни Ивана Константиновича и обретении высочайшего мастерства.
Члены клуба познакомились с такими картинами художника, как «Девятый вал», «На смерть Александра Третьего», «Хаос», «Среди волн» и др.
Большой интерес у слушателей вызвали малоизвестные факты из жизни великого художника. Гости узнали, что Иван Константинович был не только художником, но и музыкантом, всерьез интересовался археологией.
Айвазовский на свои средства построил в городе Феодосии фонтаны с питьевой водой, его стараниями провели железную дорогу. После своей смерти Айвазовский завещал родному городу Феодосийскую картинную галерею. Художник был поразительно работоспособен. Он написал около 6000 полотен по памяти.
Побывал И.К.Айвазовский и на донской земле. В Ростовском областном музее изобразительных искусств экспонируется и хранится портрет нахичеванского головы Халибова кисти Айвазовского. Известный нахичеванский голова Артемий Павлович Халибов (Арутюн Погосович Халибян) вошел в историю города как яркий руководитель, общественный деятель.
В библиотеке была организована книжная выставка, на которой представлены книги о жизни и творчестве А.И. Айвазовского.
В конце мероприятия члены клуба прослушали «Феодосийский вальс» в исполнении феодосийского барда В. Ежова. Всех присутствующих глубоко затронули слова этой искренней и задушевной песни:
«…Здесь Айвазовский жил, слушал рассказ глубин, море янтарных брызг, чаек над морем визг…».
И.К. Айвазовский – это необычный человек, талантливый и влюбленный в море. Он вошел в историю мирового искусства как маринист-романтик, передающий на полотне красоту и мощь морской стихии, и остался самым непревзойденным «певцом моря»…
