Минуло двести пять лет со дня рождения одного из интереснейших представителей русской классической литературы Алексея Константиновича Толстого. Чаще всего Алексей Константинович находился в тени именитых Толстых, а ведь он вошел в историю русской литературы как поэт и прозаик. Его лирика легла в основу знаменитых романсов Петра Чайковского, Николая Римского-Корсакова и других композиторов. Вместе с братьями Жемчужниковыми он создал одну из самых известных литературных мистификаций — вымышленного писателя Козьму Пруткова, чьи афоризмы известны и сегодня.
О жизни и творчестве Алексея Константиновича Толстого пойдет речь в нашей литературной гостиной «То было в утро наших лет…».
Высокие образцы А.К. Толстой оставил и в сатире, и в пародии, и в лирике, в том числе песенной. Предлагаем Вашему вниманию романсы П.И. Чайковского «Средь шумного бала» и П. Булахова «Колокольчики мои» на слова А.К. Толстого.
