Поздравляем всех с большим праздником, имеющим патриотическую направленность, Днем народного единства. О единстве, крепости, сплоченности всего народа в трудные дни защиты Отечества очень важно помнить.
День народного единства празднуют в память о событиях, когда народное ополчение под предводительством Дмитрия Пожарского и Кузьмы Минина освободило в 1612 году Москву от польских интервентов. Как говорится в пояснительной записке к проекту закона о введении нового праздника: «4 ноября 1612 года воины народного ополчения … продемонстрировали образец героизма и сплоченности всего народа вне зависимости от происхождения, вероисповедания и положения в обществе».
День народного единства — российский государственный праздник. В соответствии с Федеральным законом от 29 декабря 2004 года «О внесении изменений в статью 1 Федерального закона «О днях воинской славы (победных днях) России», начиная с 2005 года, 4 ноября является выходным днём.
Интересно, что эта дата отмечалась и раньше. В 1613 году царь Михаил Федорович учредил День очищения Москвы от польских интервентов. В 1649 году по указу царя Алексея Михайловича дата была объявлена церковно-государственным праздником. Русская православная церковь в этот день чтит память Казанской иконы Божией Матери «за избавление Москвы и России от нашествия поляков 1612 года». После революции 1917 года традиция отмечать освобождение Москвы от польских интервентов прекратилась. Вернулись к ней спустя почти столетие в 2004 году.
В этот день россияне вспоминают подвиг разных людей, сплотившихся в единое целое перед лицом общей опасности. Эта победа послужила мощным импульсом для возрождения российского государства.
