10 января 2023 года отмечался 140-летний юбилей известного советского писателя и общественного деятеля Алексея Николаевича Толстого. А. Н. Толстой — автор социально-психологических, исторических и научно-фантастических романов, повестей и рассказов, произведений для детей, публицистических произведений.
Юбилею писателя было посвятили первое в 2023 году заседание литературно-поэтического клуба «Книгочей» в библиотеке имени А.И. Куприна. Встреча под заголовком «Советский граф» состоялась 15 января. Открылась она чтением отрывка из повести А.Н. Толстого «Детство Никиты» о подготовке к празднованию Рождества.
Видеопрезентация «Советский граф» познакомила присутствующих с жизнью и творчеством писателя-юбиляра.
Основная часть встречи была отведена знакомству с разноплановым творчеством А.Н. Толстого. Интересные факты читатели услышали о романах «Петр Первый», «Хождение по мукам», «Гиперболоид инженера Гарина», «Похождения Невзорова, или Ибикус», повестях «Детство Никиты», «Граф Калиостро», повести-сказке «Золотой ключик, или Приключения Буратино». Военная проза была представлена рассказом «Русский характер» из цикла «Рассказы Ивана Сударева». Привлекли внимание присутствующих видеофрагменты из фильмов по произведениям юбиляра.
В конце встречи состоялся обмен мнением по теме мероприятия, обзор книг, представленных на выставке «Третий Толстой». Участники встречи получили буклет «Русский характер».
